Map geekery
Hey! My links have been quirky and dysfunctional on the first try lately, and I've finally discerned the pattern: I keep putting spaces around the equal signs after "href" and "target", and my explanation is that there are spaces around every operator in the C programming language. Basically, one quarter of CS has been enough to screw up my regular HTML habits. I should run away. Fast. Faster than the the fat kid in dodgeball is out, in the words of Meenal's Penn friend Spin. Ouch. But I liked the class.

On another geeky note, Meenal, Sabrina, and I spent a good half-hour marveling at Meenal's atlas, U.S. geography, and how ignorant of it we were. When I think about how my brother had this puzzle map of the U.S. and could identify every state by shape at the age of two, I feel clearly trumped. Oh well. I can take comfort in the fact that he's probably forgotten half of them. Also, I'm pretty upset that the "Five Kingdoms" concept which was taught to us as dogma has been shattered—in fact, was in the process of being broken up at the very same time they were drilling it into our heads. Now, the model ranges from six to eight kingdoms, with the new ones being extracted from Monera, Plantae, and/or Protista. I can't wait to find out what else they've misinformed us about. So far, the tally is at Prussia and biology kingdoms. I'm still bitter that noone bothered to teach us about Prussia's existence til AP Euro. Geez. Thanks, Mr. P.

More has happened since I last updated, but I guess I just don't have it in me to be so honest and open as to be uncensored like Kat. I pretty much started this update for the pure and unadulterated sake of racking up another update, which is pretty darn sad. So now I'm going to stop writing about nothing and actually do nothing! Whoop-dee-do!
