Who's done?

Who's done? Me! That's right, I'm done. Yeah I am.
I admit, I did sort of rush through my final exams yesterday and today because I was just so anxious to be finished with them. The CS exam was pretty much under control since I'd studied for the previous two days and there was nothing conceptually difficult to grasp this time. About three quarters of the way through the exam, though, I got so sick of data structures and pointers to pointers to pointers that I refused to check the my answers for the last four programs and, instead, tunneled through the rest of the problems to walk out twenty minutes early. It was just early enough to satisfy my antsiness, but not so early that other people hadn't started leaving and I was the first to cause a stir. I'm still not entirely secure about when to use arrows and when to use dots, which may have manifested itself in the last quarter of the exam. It's something I'll have to figure that out if/before I start taking 106B next quarter.
But hey, that's next quarter. I was done with CS by 2:55, so I raced back here, wasted the hour and a half til dinner, and resumed the medieval women stuff I'd started for the review session on Wednesday. After studying from approximately 7 to midnight in the mustard chair, I was exhausted. I'm not sure whether it was some mysterious soporific effect of the chartreuse-colored velvet or simply the cumulative toll of the past several nights that made me so doggone tired. But in any case, I went to bed by 1 and slept quite soundly (but I always, always sleep soundly) til 9am, whereupon I got up and studied some more til it was time to say goodbye to Tory and Ima, and grab a sandwich to eat on my way to the final.
That one, like the IHUM exam, turned out to be pages and pages of writing. Though it was allotted three hours, the exam seemed to only require two. Feeling good about pace if not about content, I took a 15-minute break halfway through and still managed to finish early.
I came back here, exultant, and watched as Molly-cule (as opposed to Molly-rah) packed up the last of her stuff. Then we and Ben headed over to the courtyard of the machine shop, where some seriously cool people have rigged a set of neat swings that interconnect with each other—I'd discovered it on a study break/potential-major-shopping-trip on Sunday, when Urvi led a few of us to the ME103 final project presentations. I'd toyed with taking ME101 at Suzie's suggestion, but these projects, including a guitar, a laminate skateboard with retractable wheels, a retractable bike lock, and a cool iMac/aquarium, definitely made up my mind for me. Afterward, Molly and I whiled away that last fifteen minutes in true fashion, chasing plastic in front of the bookstore til Ben came back out.
Then it was goodbye to Molly, and an unexpected dinner excursion to Stern for Ben, me, and the rest of the Branner stragglers. It was the only dining hall open on this side of campus, and even all of the people left on West Campus only filled it halfway. So sad, so sad. It's difficult to fathom that I'm really done with my first quarter of college; perhaps it's been too little time for me to have any perspective. I'll think about it later. Hm... think? It's definitely time to be mindless for a while. And now, back to packing and cleaning, accompanied by loud-music-playing. Whee!
