Die Zauberflote
My laptop is tucked in the corner of the open dressing room closet behind Dinkelspiel auditorium with Papagena's frilly bird costume on the left and her old woman disguise on the right—it's the only place where the power cord and I are completely out of the way of the seven girls in this closet-sized space. It's fun, though, and we never really all need to be changing here at once. Tonight's our last dress rehearsal for The Magic Flute, and I'm really excited for the show to actually open. All I can say that there is a lot of Drama associated with drama. Or should the capitalization work the other way 'round? Namely, drama between the cast and orchestra and the staff. Well, there's only one sore point which perhaps won't be worth reading about 2 days from now. At any rate, though, all of the cast gets along really well, and the production, despite its insomnia-inducing qualities, has been a lot of fun. Things look great, sound great... it's time to actually perform this stuff.

In the compulsory email-and-website check before I unplugged everything to come here, I found that every single journal or blog on my "update addicts" list (except one... ahem...) had been newly updated, and some of them with entries well worth responding to. Oh well. I'm a lazy bum.
