Boat dance

Our boat dance was yesterday, and I somewhat resentfully ended up going. By the previous sentence, it's clear that I had low incoming expectations, but it turned out to be one of the more fun events involving ridiculously overdressed young adults that I've been to in a while. First, it was on a boat, and things on the water are always cool. Also, around 120 almost nearly sober Brannerfolk were dancing together and having fun. I guess everyone just somehow accepted that it would be a dry evening, if not a dry night, and moved on. Call me a sap, but I think some of the best things about this dorm are the random interactions with random cool people outside of the normal comfort bubble. As psyched as I am to live in Synergy next year, I'm gunna miss Branner a lot. There are already plans in the making for monthly barbecues and marshmallow toasting at Lag.
Wow, that was impressively ineloquent. Back to work now.
