Oh, New Jersey

I'm back from all the celebrating and gallivanting, at least temporarily. Here, it hit 95 degrees today and only got down to 81 by midnight—and I think those must also be the numbers for the humidity, though the omnipresence of lightning bugs almost makes up for it. Yum.

For some reason my room at home is always a storm when I come back, possibly because it's not so much configured for any of my recent habits or gadgets. Massive cleaning is due at multiple levels, from this wide wooden desk to a promise that I'd help my mom set up her new Mac Mini and home office. Should be refreshing, as soon as I get un-wiped from the Iceland epic. Edited photos forthcoming. Trust me, you want the edited ones, as they gross over 300 in number between the two cameras.

Also, we're dogsitting a family friend's highly, highly neurotic pug. Good thing she's a 3-month-old puppy, to rack up some redeeming cute points. Geez! A pug! (Sorry, Karla, but I had to do it...)
