Weekly Snippet

- Managed to miss Wan’s birthday while being within 5 miles of the festivities, all because I phoned her on the day after. People who live in Boston shouldn’t celebrate their birthdays in New York without telling other people. Geez.
- Saw a cozy, not-cramped apartment in Park Slope (near Atlantic/Pacific) and met the girl who I’d be sharing it with. She’s sweet, spunky, and has nothing to do with Web two-point-oh; huzzah! Faxed my application to the landlord this morning, along with 17 pieces of flair to prove that I am credit-worthy. There were a couple of other people they were meeting and checking out, so we’ll see…
- Rode up to San Francisco with a friend who’s also an avid bird watcher, and spotted (aka, got pointed out to me) an egret, a turkey vulture, and a red-tailed kite.
- Showed up at Sarah’s door on Saturday afternoon expecting a hot shower and clean towels. Funny, she’s still my friend.
- Helped shop, cook, and bake for Cody’s birthday party that night.
- Spotted the most ginormous pure white floppy happy dog lying calmly at the entrance to the grocery store. Some very persistent Googling revealed the Irish Wolfhound, a breed whose minimum qualifying weight is 120 pounds.
- Chatting in a cluster of 7 people that suddenly realized that we were a fully closed loop of formerroommateness.
- Baked a cake, then decorated it with serifs:

- Watched Grey’s Anatomy.
