- Are you really moving?
Yep. You'd best believe it. As much as I love the Bay Area, it's time for a change of pace. I get to work for a West Coast style company (incidentally, that means the sweatshirts/jeans/clogs are staying) while being near lots of friends and family I haven't seen much in the last five years. I'll be travelling back here for work about once a month, and, you know, email. And come visit! - Did you really get presta valve earrings for your birthday?
Yes. - When are you moving?
Driving the car, shipping most of the stuff. I'm taking off on March 19th and arriving in NYC on the 25th or 26. Shotgun and alternative driver on the cross-country road trip (w00t!) will most likely be Jaffe, who was company on The Other Memorable Paved-Surface Vacation to date. We'll try to go hiking in Escalante or something. - Where are you living?
It's basically impossible to find housing without (1) meeting potential roommates and (2) seeing the space. Plus, the housing market seems so dynamic that things only go up for the first of the following month. So I'm going to crash in corporate housing for a week or two, and look for something beginning April 1. I like Brooklyn, I like Park Slope. But nothing's set in stone just yet.

in all likelihood, my hubbie and i are going to be moving around the end of march and our lovely two bedroom apt in prospect heights (just over the border of park slope, in prime altantic center commuting area), will be available. shoot me an email if you're potentially interested.
I knew there was a reason I wrote this (other than to tell all of my friends what's up). Thanks for the tip, Dahl! I'll email you.
